THE TOURNAMENT
Games are 5 v 5, 4 plus a keeper, maximum 10 players per team. Games consist of 3 - 12 minute periods, games start on the hour. Substitutions will occur on the fly.
Fields are 30 yards by 40 yards. Nylon webbing staked at the 4 corners and flags will delineate the fields. Each team will play 3 games (weather and other unforeseen conditions permitting) with a 4th possible for those advancing to the finals.
No Shoes Allowed - Players must play in their bare feet - socks, tape and ankle braces are allowed but there can be no hard reinforcements in the ankle brace. Sports knee braces with metal support are fine.
Awards - Trophies will be provided for first place finishers in all divisions, medals for second.
Eligibility - This tournament is open to any youth travel, recreation or other team from any organization that meets the age standards. Premier, Travel and Recreation divisions will be established to accommodate any team that wants to join in the Beach Soccer Fun.
Age Requirements - Divisions for both tournaments will be formed by birth year age using the Fall 2023/Spring 2024 calendar year age designations as follows:

Adult Divisions
Men's, Women's and Co-ed Open - 2004 and older (U18 and U19 may play up in the Open Division)
The oldest person on the roster shall determine the age group for any team. Youth players can play up in older Youth divisions only. However, players may not play down.
PLAYERS CANNOT PLAY ON MORE THAN ONE TEAM, ESPECIALLY IN THE SAME AGE GROUP. THIS WILL BE CAUSE FOR FORFEIT OF ALL GAMES WITH NO REFUND
For Co-ed teams, a minimum of 2 females must be on the field at all times, any position. Rosters and proof of age will be required at registration; player cards will be accepted for travel teams, a copy of birth certificate will be required for all non-carded youth players. Proof of age is required at registration, no exceptions.

• Youth Teams - U8 through U19: Tournament Registration + 10 Amusement Pier Ride and Waterpark Wristbands - $995
Includes all Tournament Fees AND ten (10) Morey’s Piers Amusement Passes good for access rides on all three (3) Amusement Piers and two (2) Waterparks all day Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday! The ten (10) wristbands may be used for any ten (10) individuals, whether players, coaches or family. Remember, the wristbands may only be used for one individual and are not transferable. There will be an additional $10 GotSport fee charged at the time of acceptance.
• Adult Teams - Men’s, Women’s and Co-ed OPEN: Tournament Registration Only - $550
Tournament Fees only. If your team wants 10 wristbands, the cost is same as Youth Team above, just add this request in the notes of your application, you will be contacted via email to arrange. If you want less than 10, purchase them as Friends and Family wristbands described below. There will be an additional $10 GotSport fee charged at the time of acceptance.

Includes access to Amusement Pier rides on all 3 Amusement Piers and entry into both Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis Waterparks all day Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday! These wristbands are offered exclusively to Friends and Family of participants of the Beach Blast and MORE Beach Blast Soccer Tournaments. Get 4-days of riding and sliding for the price of 1-day! These wristbands are purchased directly from Morey’s Piers, you will be notified how you can pre-purchase online when your team is accepted.
For the June Beach Blast event, purchase Friends and Family wristbands online on or before April 9, 2024 - $125 each plus tax. Purchase online between April 10 and on or before May 21, 2024 - $145 each plus tax. Purchase online between May 22 and on or before June 27, 2024 - $160 each plus tax. Purchase during the event between June 28 and July 1, 2024 - $175 each plus tax.
For the July MORE Beach Blast event, purchase Friends and Family wristbands online on or before April 30, 2024 - $125 each plus tax. Purchase online between May 1 and on or before June11, 2024 - $145 each plus tax. Purchase online between June 12 and on or before July 18, 2024 - $160 each plus tax. Purchase during the event between July 19 and July 22, 2024 - $175 each plus tax.
BEACH BLAST ROSTERS
We do not use the GotSport roster feature so it doesn’t need to be entered, updated or corrected for Beach Blast. If it's already there for your grass soccer team, it's fine to leave it as is, we don't use the online feature.
GENERAL WRISTBAND INFORMATION

APPLICATION/ACCEPTANCE
ALL applications will be done online, all payment will be done via credit card online, your credit card will be charged at the time of acceptance. Once you apply, you will receive an email notifying you that your application has been received. This is not acceptance into the tournament. If accepted, you will receive a second email notifying you specifically that you have been accepted and that your credit card has been charged.
Teams are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Online registration for these tournaments will open mid-January.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
If the Soccer Tournament is cancelled entirely because of weather, teams may receive either a partial or full credit towards the next year’s tournament or a partial or full refund. The terms of any credits or refunds will be determined by the Cape Express Soccer Club based on the specific weather and any other factors which CESC deems appropriate. All decisions will be communicated within four weeks of the scheduled date of the tournament. All communications will be handled directly between the Tournament Director and registered coaches via email.
If the Soccer Tournament is only partially cancelled or altered in any way due to weather, the CESC will determine whether any credits or refunds are appropriate and their amounts. As with full cancellation, the terms of any credits or refunds will be determined by the CESC based on the specific weather and any other factors which CESC deems appropriate. All decisions will be communicated within four weeks of the scheduled date of the tournament. All communications will be handled directly between the Tournament Director and registered coaches via email.
Beach Blast wristbands for Morey’s Piers, obtained either as part of the 10 team wristbands or ordered separately online after the team was accepted through the Friends and Family extra bands link are non-refundable. If you order your tickets on-line, please make certain your order is accurate.
Morey’s Piers may continue to operate during inclement weather independent of the tournament unless its management determines that conditions may endanger the safety or our guests. If the Soccer Tournament is cancelled completely because of weather, you may return your Beach Blast wristband voucher and exchange it for a Same Day "Splash & Ride” combination ticket that is good for admission to all three amusement piers and Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis waterparks. To exchange your ticket, please email [email protected] and include your order #, email used when purchasing your wristband(s), name and phone number. This ticket may be redeemed on any day during the same operating season as the cancelled event.
