As many of you may have heard Cape Alum Steven Berrodin was selected to play for the Region 1 US Olympic Development Program(ODP) team.
After securing his spot on the NJ ODP 2005 team, Steven went on to the regional level playing with the top players from Maine to West Virginia. Playing with the Regional team is an honor that comes with some amazing opportunities. This past December, Steven attended the IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Steven's play there garnered the attention of representatives of the National ODP team.
Come April, Steven's Regional ODP team will be heading to the Mallorca Cup in Mallorca Spain.
All of these tremendous opportunities also come with tremendous financial cost. The cost for Steven's trip is $3,500. This is a tough burden for Steven's family.
