Tournament Information

THE TOURNAMENT
Games are 5 v 5, 4 plus keeper, minimum 7 players and maximum 10 players per team. Substitutions will occur on the fly.
Fields are 30 yards by 40 yards. Nylon webbing staked at the 4 corners and flags will delineate the fields. Each team will play 3 games (weather and other unforseen conditions permitting) with a 4th possible for those advancing to the finals.

No Shoes Allowed
Players must play in their barefeet - socks, tape and ankle braces are allowed but there can be no hard reinforcements in the ankle brace. Sports knee braces with metal support are fine.

Awards • Trophies will be provided for first place finishers in all divisions, medals for second.

Eligibility • This tournament is open to any youth travel, recreation or other team from any organization that meets the age standards. Premier, Travel and Recreation divisions will be established to accommodate any team that wants to join in the Beach Soccer Fun.

Age Requirements • Divisions will be formed by age as follows:

Youth Divisions
U-8 8/1/99 – 7/31/00 (2nd grade)
U-9 8/1/98 – 7/31/99 (3rd grade)
U-10 8/1/97 – 7/31/98 (4th grade)
U-11 8/1/96 – 7/31/97 (5th grade)
U-12 8/1/95 – 7/31/96 (6th grade)
U-13 8/1/94 – 7/31/95 (7th grade)
U-14 8/1/93 – 7/31/94 (8th grade)
U-15 8/1/92 - 7/31/93 (9th grade)
U-16 8/1/91 - 7/31/92 (10th grade)
U-18 8/1/89 - 7/31/91 (11th & 12th grade)

Adult Divisions
Open Born before 8/1/89
O-30 Born before 8/1/77
O-40 Born before 8/1/67

For non-travel youth players, the grades listed above are those typical for the age designations. However, only the listed dates will be used to determine a player’s eligibility to play at a certain age level, the grade is listed for your convenience only. The oldest person on the roster shall determine the age group for any team. Youth players can play up in older Youth divisions only. However, players may not play down.

Over 30 players may play on Open teams but all O-30 players must be O-30. O-40 players may play on Open teams and O-30 teams but all O-40 players must be O-40.

For Co-ed teams, a minimum 2 females must be on the field at all times, position doesn’t matter.

Rosters and proof of age will be required at registration; player cards will be accepted for travel teams, a copy of birth certificate will be required for all non-carded youth players, photo ID acceptable for adults. ID’s are required at registration, no exceptions.

FEES

• Youth Teams - U-8 through U-18, Tournament Registration & 10 Amusement/Waterpark Wristbands - $700
Includes all Tournament Fees AND 10 Morey’s Piers Amusement and Waterpark Passes good for unlimited access to both Ocean Oasis and Raging Waters Beachfront Waterparks plus unlimited rides on all 3 Amusement Piers all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday! The 10 wristbands may be used for any 10 individuals, whether players or family. Remember, the wristbands may only be used for one individual and are not transferable. Team registration occurs through the application link on the Cape Express website.

• Adult Teams - U-18, OPEN and O-30, Tournament Registration Only - $375
Tournament Fees only. Wristbands can be added as described below. If your team wants 10 wristbands, the cost can be $700/team as above. Add this request in the notes of your application, you will be contacted via email to arrange. If you want less than 10, purchase them as Non-Player Amusement Passes as described below. Team registration occurs through the application link on the Cape Express website.

Non-Player Amusement Pier and Waterpark Wristband (Additional person) - $50 per person
Includes Morey’s Piers Amusement and Waterpark Pass good for unlimited access to both Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis Waterpark + Beach Club plus unlimited rides on all 3 Amusement Piers all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday! These passes are only available to accepted teams and will be purchased directly from Morey’s Piers. You will be notified how you can pre-purchase these passes online when your team is accepted - the deadline for online pre-purchase is May 18, 2008. To encourage all add-ons to be completed prior to registration, the fee for any Non-Player Amusement and Waterpark passes added at Registration will be $60 per person.

• BarBQ Dinner - $9 per person
Includes a Saturday evening (5:00 - 7:00 PM) catered BarBQ picnic served at the Rendezvous Beach Picnic Pavilion on Mariner’s Landing (the Pier with the Ferris Wheel). Menu includes grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, tossed green salad, potato salad, baked macaroni and cheese, fresh sliced watermelon, beverages and ice cream novelty bars. The picnic is only available to accepted teams and must be pre-purchased online directly from Morey’s Piers before May 18, 2008. You will be notified how you can pre-purchase the picnic when your team is accepted. This item cannot be added at Registration. Space is limited so don’t wait to sign up.

• Beach Blast T-shirts and Tank Tops - $15/each
T-shirts may be pre-ordered. Include your order on the application form. Pre-order prices are $15 each, $20 purchased at the tournament. Youth size XL and Adult sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL. You will receive pre-order t-shirts at registration. The deadline for pre-order T-shirts is May 18, 2008. These items are purchased from the online store through the application link on the Cape Express website.

GENERAL WRISTBAND INFORMATION
Wristbands are valid for access to Raging Waters Waterpark and Ocean Oasis Waterpark and Beach Club, plus the amusement rides on all 3 Amusement Piers (wristband restrictions apply; go-karts, Skyscraper, SkyCoaster, Climbing Wall, Seaport Miniature Golf, Screamin'Swing, High Flyer, and Springshot are not included) all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.


Wristbands are offered exclusively to participants of the Beach Blast Soccer Tournament at an incredible savings of over 70% off the general admission rate! (Savings is based on admission to the piers and all day admission to the waterparks for 3 days).

IMPORTANT 

  • Wristbands are NOT TRANSFERABLE.  You may not give your wristband to another person.  Attempted transfers will result in removal of wristband with no refund. You must have a wristband for admission to the amusement rides.
  • Spectators are NOT permitted in the waterparks.  In order to enter Raging Waters Waterpark or Ocean Oasis Beach Club and Waterpark, you must be wearing a Beach Blast wristband.
  • Wristbands must be WORN the entire weekend of Beach Blast.  Wristbands that are loose, fixed on a stroller or something other than a human being, will not be accepted for admission to the amusement rides or waterparks.
  • Sorry, no rain checks. Morey’s Piers will attempt to operate during inclement weather as long as conditions are safe which will be determined at the sole discretion of Morey’s Piers management. Passes are non-transferable.
APPLICATION
ALL applications will be done online, all payment will be done via credit card online. Teams are accepted on a first come, first served basis. We strongly recommend you do not make housing reservations until after your team has been accepted. While the deadline for a team to apply is May 2, 2008, we expect the tournament will be 99% full by the end of March, 2008.

Accepted teams may still add last minute entry for the Amusements and Waterparks for their families after the May 18, 2008 deadline, but only at registration. ADDITIONALLY, in order to strongly encourage having all business taken care of prior to registration, amusement/waterpark wristbands added at Registration will be $60 per person.
